Functional use

The water vapor transmission rate tester is suitable for food, pharmaceutical, electronics, daily chemical and other packaging materials, such as: high barrier film, co-extruded film, aluminum foil, aluminized film, infusion bag, sheet, coated film, solar back sheet , Cellophane, ceramic flakes; also suitable for water vapor transmission barrier testing of bottles, bags, cans and other containers.


Working principle

Use infrared sensor method to test the principle. The pre-processed sample is fixed in the middle of the test chamber, and the test chamber is divided into two upper and lower chambers. Nitrogen with relatively stable humidity flows in the upper chamber of the film, and dry nitrogen flows in the lower chamber. Due to the existence of a humidity gradient, water vapor It will diffuse from the high-humidity cavity through the thin film to the low-humidity cavity; the water vapor that passes through the sample is carried to the infrared sensor by the flowing dry nitrogen, and the parameters such as the water vapor transmission rate of the sample are obtained from the electrical signal output by the sensor. For packaging containers, dry nitrogen flows inside the container, and the outside of the container is in a high humidity state.
